World War Two began in September 1939 when Britain and France declared war on Germany. Soon after, Germany invaded Poland.
Next, Germany refused to accept the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty basically stated that Germany should accept the blame for starting World War One. They would have been forced to pay a 6,000 fine and were only allowed to have a small army. Hitler did not like this treaty at all. After this, Hitler created plenty of problems. He started regaining the land they used to own, behind everyone's back. He also lied when he promised not to invade Czechoslovakia, but did it anyway._ Another cause, was letting Hitler get what he wanted. Other countries believed the treaty was unfair to Germany, therefore letting them greaten their army and take over the lands they had claimed. A last cause was the downfall of the League of nations. In theory the League of Nations was a good idea and did have some early successes, but ended up failing.
