The most basic military tactic used in WWII was called "Blitzkrieg" which was used by the Nazi Party. It came from the German "Lightning War". Blitzkrieg was used for both air and ground attacks. Ariel attacks were often used to disrupt and prevent the enemy from concentrating its forces.
Another weopon was the fighter-bomber. The fighter-bomber was a fast, heavily armed and armored plane, strong enough to withstand steep dives, fast flying, and some of the ground attacks that it would encounter.
Another tactic were submarines. Submarines would always attack in packs. The Japanese had Kamikazes, which were basically suicide missions for the young soldiers.
Tanks were also used. They were fast, low, heavily armored, and armed with powerful large- and small-caliber guns. Russia had the best tanks.
